Eastern Counties Championship Update

ECBA Championships

Bedfordshire had a contingent of players at these Championships on 19th May at Cottenham B.C. Cambridgeshire. There results were as follows:-

Two Wood Singles.           Neil Rixon got to the Semi-final but lost to Suffolk

Four Wood Singles.          Chris Beard got to the Final but lost 20 – 21 to Hunts. He beat Andy Squires of Essex in the Semi final.

Junior Singles.                  Owen Harker got to the final and beat Norfolk 21 –13.

Pairs.                                  Eddie Graydon and John Winter got to the final but lost to Essex.

Triples.                               Marco Casotti, Andrew Meadows and Mike Bertrand lost in the Semi-final to the eventual winners from Cambs.

Fours.                                 Nick Bray, Pete Amor, John Pamphlion and Mark Curtis got to the final but lost to Suffolk.

Officers, Bedford Cup.   Steve Jennings and Mike Bertrand got to the final but lost to the Officers of Essex.
